The Gran Prix Championship will be held on September 17-19 at Newk’s in New Braunfels, Texas.  This a fun and exciting weekend that provides very competitive tennis and a great experience for all who participate.  The Lubbock Team will consist of 2 players from each of the following divisions: Boys 10, 12, 14, 16, 18 and Girls 10, 12, 14, 16, 18. The two finalists are invited to these championships.  If either of these two finalists can’t go, then one of the two semifinalists may fill their spot. If the finalists can’t go, then the semi-finalist are invited.  We continue through the quarterfinals and/or consolation rounds until we have two players signed up and paid to attend the Gran Prix Championships.  I will be required to send in the entry for the entire Lubbock Team by August 31, therefore, players will be required to enter and pay for the event to confirm their position on the team.

The Lubbock Team will stay at Newk's Ranch. All arrangements for the players will be made by Lubbock Team Coordinator.  The entry fee is a package at $150 which includes 2 room nights, 6 meals for the weekend, and the tournament entry fee.  It is a package price for all players who participate.  Transportation is also available for those who would like a ride down and back with the coaches. If you are traveling on your own, please plan on arriving Friday afternoon. We will have a team meeting at 8:00 p.m. Friday evening in the Main Lodge at Newk's to discuss the schedule of play, karaoke, hand out t-shirts, awards, room assignments, etc. It is a team event so, DO NOT CHECK IN AT THE TOURNAMENT DESK. You will get all the information, schedule, t-shirts, meal tickets, etc. from the Lubbock Team Coaches at our meeting.

Information will be available for parents who plan to attend such as hotels, phone numbers, directions with a map, etc.  Entry form, fee and reservation deadline is immediate upon qualifying.
